Back to the beginning of times, men and Demons lived together in peace. Over the centuries, however, Demons got the better of humans, chaining and enslaving them. The gods, looking from above, saw that Demons oppressed their beloved humans and decided to send on the Earth an army of Angels-warriors. Led by Hagron, the Angels freed the humans, who took the field with them. However, right when it seemed that human and Angels could prevail, Hagron, the Champion of his progeny, turned his back to his former friends and decided to help the enemy's army. Torn by this betrayal, the god of Fire and the god of Ice joined their powers to forge a powerful weapon: a magic sword which could guide the hand of a human and kill any Demon that would stand against it. Therefore, thanks to the power of the Sword, humans defeated Demons and regained their freedom. Forever.
Their enemies were exiled in a dark world, down in the depths of hell. The gates of that dungeon were closed by a magic Seal, which could not be broken but by the Sword itself. However, during the last battle, Hagron was able to escape, together with a bunch of human allies and his companion, a human lady, Tiren. They vanished forever. Those betrayers were forgotten and Time erased their memory. As for the Sword of Ice and Fire, it was hidden in a safe place and today nobody knows where it is anymore.
By now, the memory of those ancient events has been lost, and the Sword has been forgotten, covered by a veil of legend... until today.
In King Andisagrus' court, Alwer the seer dreams about a demon, escaped somehow from his dungeon: he wants to find the Sword to finally break the Seal and free his people. The king, worried, wants to send an army to find the Sword before the demon, but Alwer tells him that even the best equipped army would be useless for this mission. In fact, oracles said that only three men could find the Sword, and they should have three fundamental qualities: Courage, Wisdom and Madness. Therefore, the king chooses Hasius, the Sage, and Midar, the Brave, to find the Sword, and gives them the remains of an ancient map, incomplete and ruined by time. Midar and Hasius don't have a clue about where to start searching, but they know something: they have to find the Third Point, Madness.
They ride and travel around the entire reign, and finally they arrive in the village of Aghrem. There they find a young boy who claims he can talk with his fairy, named Veryan, and who begs them to let him join the fellowship. Hasius and Midar see in the young Syndag the recklessness and the madness they are looking for, and they decide to give him a chance. Therefore, Syndag leaves with the two men, leaving his young girlfriend Norje at the village.
One day, during a break on the banks of a river, Hasius sees the boy shirtless and recognizes the missing part of their map in a birthmark on Syndag's back. Finally they know where the Sword is hidden, and they also know for sure that they have completed the Triangle: Syndag is the Madness they needed to succeed!
At the same time, Fergor, the escaped Demon, finds an unhoped allied in Henril. Henril reveals he is an Angel, a survivor of the ancient battle who has remained hidden for centuries at the court of king Olwys. He knows where the Sword is, because the old king's family has guarded the secret for generations. Therefore, the Angel guides Fergor to the king and they capture his daughter Fylgia to make him confess. But then, when the king tells them where the mystic blade is hidden, they kill them anyway and buy an army with the king's gold, leaving to finally get the Sword.
Guided by the image on Syndag's back, our heroes cross the forest of Gronaem and they enter in the ancient caves under the mountain. According to the map, the Sword had been hidden there. They have to face many dangers when crossing the reing of the evil dwarves, but is only when they reach the deepest part of the caverns that our heroes are truly in danger: they are attacked by the spirits of the ancient inhabitants of the caves, who try to protect the Sword. But, thanks to the fairy Veryan and her powers, Hasius, Syndag and Midar finally reach the place they are looking for: the Sword of Ice and Fire is there, in front of their eyes.
Oddly enough, however, only the young Syndag is able to reach the Sword, and he grabs it just when Fergor, Henril and their army arrive in the caves. Largely outnumbered, Hasius and Midar are forced to surrender, while Syndag, driven by the magic Sword, keeps fighting and kills Fergor. Unfortunately, the most dangerous is Henril, who is an Angel and therefore cannot be killed using the powers of the Sword alone. In fact, he is not a demon and Syndag, exhausted and covered by blood, is about to surrender. Suddenly, however, a drop of Syndag's blood hits Henril's face and the angel shrieks in pain and terror: Henril understands that Syndag, the one who could hold the Sword of Ice and Fire and who stands up to the strength of Angels, actually is one of the heirs of Hagron, the Traitor. After the Great Revolt, Gods cursed forever the name and the blood of the old warrior and that of all his sons and descendants; therefore, the blood of one of the heirs of Hagron is like poison for an Angel like Henril.
Thanks to this unexpected twist of fate, Syndag is able to finally kill Henril. Seeing both their commanders dead, the soldiers run away freeing Hasius and Midar up. Our three heroes immediately go back to Andisagrus, to give him the mystic Sword. They know that the King will be able to find another place to keep it, for the centuries to come...
